HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

UPDATE

Dear Prayer Partners,
Here’s an update from our missionary friend, David Daniel. You will probably remember that several months ago David had a pretty severe case of COVID…

Brother Ron,
I have been in the Philippines over 5 months and continue to suffer a cough with phlegm. It gets better and then it gets worse. I have had X-rays several times and my lungs are clear, but the problem is in the bronchial tubes. I just started a third regiment of antibiotics and will add stem cells to this dosage to help.
If I don’t show significant improvement in a couple of weeks, I will have to return to America to seek better care. A hospital here would be a culture shock to many.
I’m asking for your prayers of healing so I can continue to do missionary work here as the fields are white for the harvest and so ready to receive salvation.
Missionary David

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Prayer Partners,

Please add Pastor Larry Atkins to your prayer list.  Dr. Larry is pastor at FBC, Buckhorn, MO and has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.  He will begin radiation treatments this week and they will continue for the next five weeks.  Doctors are confident that the treatments will be successful.

Thank you in advance for your faithful prayers.

UPDATE

Dear Prayer Partners,

Cheryl and I visited with Linda Lemen today.  She is retaining fluid and looked a little swollen, short on breath if she talks, but doing much better.  The following is an update she sent to me this afternoon…

The Lord has answered prayers – the heart cath showed no blockages!  The cardiologist was concerned that my heart was in distress as some of numbers were so high, but all looked good.

Another test revealed a UTI that has gone into my blood stream so I will be in hospital till negative blood results.  Probably a few more days.

Appreciate all you prayer warriors who are so faithful to bring our needs to our Lord.

Blessings.  Linda.

Ron,
I’m getting ready to go for a heart cath at Centerpoint hospital. I haven’t been feeling well for a few days and had to go to the hospital this morning by ambulance. Trying to figure out what’s going on. Appreciate your prayers. Thanks, Linda

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Prayer Partners,
I received the following prayer request from some dear friends, Linda & Adrian Lemen…
Ron,
Please be in prayer for our great-grandson, Braden. He had a car accident today and rolled his car. He came over a hill and there was loose gravel on the road that caused him to slide off the road and the car rolled over. He was taken to hospital and checked out and seems no serious injuries just bumps on head and arms.
However, there were three others in the car with him; two had on seat belts, but one girl did not. She was ejected from car – not sure how, windows and sunroof were open. She was taken to Children’s Mercy to be checked out – bad cut on her head, fractured skull, broken eye sockets, and brain bleed. The other two had no issues and their parents took them home. Traumatic thing for these kids so please pray for all four of them and their families.
One other issue – Braden has liability insurance but that won’t cover his passenger’s medical expenses.
We believe in the power of prayer. Thanks all you faithful Prayer Partners.
Linda

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Prayer Partners,
I met a Fed-X driver this morning and began a conversation with him. As it turns out, he and his wife Amy, used to attend FBC, Blue Springs but then moved to Platte City, MO a number of years ago.
Amy contracted COVID and really had a difficult time with it. She now needs a kidney transplant and still struggling with other health issues.
Please pray for miraculous healing and that our Lord Jesus will give them both peace in the midst of this storm.
