UPDATE

Dear Prayer Partners,

What a great time of encouragement, praise, and worship the Pulaski Evangelism Conference was!  These type of Associational Conferences are always a wonderful opportunity to minister to pastors, staff members, and church leadership.  It’s my hope and prayer that many churches will once again become excited to see Jesus move in mighty power through their churches and communities.

Thanks so much for praying for me this week.

Dear Prayer Partners,

The Pulaski Baptist Association Evangelism Conference got off to a good start Saturday night.  Today I preached at FBC, Dixon, MO and several prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior.  Please pray for Pastor Jack Caple as he follows up with those decisions.

I’ll be speaking at the conference Monday evening, Tuesday morning and evening.  Thanks in advance for your prayers.

Leo & Lela Esiert are friends, fellow church members, and we’re in the same Life Group.  They asked us to pray for some friends of theirs in Brownstown, IL, Bill Robison.  Bill has cancer, lots of pain, and trouble breathing.  He has a doctor appointment tomorrow.

Karla Veal posted an update on Greyson…

Greyson is hanging in there. He had more pain today and his belly is bigger. He went down for an X-ray today which didn’t show anything new. His also gained 2 1/2 pounds overnight so they think he is that he retaining fluid. The medicine to help him get rid of fluid was bumped up.

He got platelets again today. Hopefully we will find out about platelet antibodies in the next few days.

He woke up at 1:30 am and was awake til 6 am last night! Today he got up to the chair for awhile and sat on the couch with Brian. He even did some dancing too! He is still very weak and can only sit up by himself for a little bit. He has been drinking a little water but still not eating at all. He’s getting his nutrition through his NG tube (in his nose.)

He is truly amazing. The second he feels a little okay he is smiling and wants to play or look at a book. We got some sweet snuggles and smiles today.

Pastor Wayne Geiger gave me an update on Kimberly this afternoon.  She is sleeping a lot and has had some tough days and some halfway decent ones.  Still running a fever and has some trouble breathing.  However, they have been watching her closely and feel she has turned a corner and getting better.

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Prayer Partners,
Saturday morning I received a phone call from Pastor Wayne Geiger at FBC, Grain Valley, MO. He wanted to know if I could fill in for him this morning. When a pastor wants someone to fill in on Easter Sunday you know something serious has happened.
Pastor Wayne and his wife Kim just found out that Kim tested positive for Covid-19. At this point Kim has only experienced mild symptoms, but they are now beginning their 14 day quarantine. Please pray for Kim to have a very mild case and that Wayne doesn’t catch it.
Services went well this morning and there were a number of people praying to receive Jesus as their Savior in both services. Please pray for these new Believers as they consider their next steps with our Lord.
Sorry I got this prayer request to you after the fact, but the past 24 hours have been very busy.
God bless! Jesus Christ is risen indeed!

UPDATE & PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Prayer Partners,

It’s been a busy few weeks and I have been remiss in updating you about Mervin Lockyer.  About three weeks ago He reached a plateau concerning his rehab at Ignite Rehab Center so Shirlee had to make arrangement to bring him home with help from Home Health Care.  I talked with Mervin on the phone today and he sounded stronger and in good spirits.  Please continue to pray for Mervin to regain strength and balance/coordination.  Also pray for Shirlee as she provides most of his care.

Brian Veal is the associate pastor at FBC, Moberly, MO.  He and his wife Karla have two boys, Mason and Greyson.

On July 19, 2019 Greyson was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was 13 months old when his battle began 7/22/2019.  Today he is 2yrs 9months.  After much treatment Greyson relapsed in December, 2020 and was no longer responding to chemotherapy.  On March 11, 2021 he began CAR T-Cell therapy and today it was announced that the CAR T-Cell therapy failed.  Greyson’s cancer is so very aggressive and fast growing that there are no good treatment options left.

Greyson is very sick right now. Some of this may be CRS from the T-Cells. Some of it may also be the leukemia. He is on a ventilator right now.

The families focus has now shifted to comfort and quality of time he has left. They are hoping to get him off the ventilator and be able to take him home.

Please pray for this precious family and especially for Greyson’s comfort.

UPDATE

Dear Prayer Partners,

There were a lot of visitors from other churches this week at the revival meeting at FBC Granby.  But tonight three families and one individual who live in Granby came to church for the very first time.  The pastor was very excited to see new prospects.  Isn’t that something… the church gets right with God and lost people just show up!  And the “Church Growth” experts say revival meetings are a thing of the past.  Sure glad there weren’t any experts here this week!

God bless and thank you so much for your prayers.

UPDATE

Dear Prayer Partners,

Things went really well today at FBC, Granby.  This morning there were a number of visitors which was a surprise considering the fear many have of virus exposure.  At invitation time 10 people made a profession of faith in Jesus!  Please pray they follow through with their commitment.

Tonight was another surprising attendance.  Several other area churches dismissed their evening service and came to be a part of the revival service.  The people are really getting excited to see what God might do this week.

Thank you for your continued prayers!
