UPDATE

Dear Prayer Partners,
As it turns out, Mark Magel has a kidney stone, not diverticulitis. However, if it doesn’t pass by Thursday morning he will have surgery to remove it.

UPDATE

Dear Prayer Partners,
This past March I sent a prayer request for Don & Kathy Lee. Both of them have cancer and Kathy had to have a bone marrow transplant. Tuesday Kathy went home to be with her Lord.
The family is meeting with the funeral home today and I will be officiating Kathy’s service on Saturday.
Thank you in advance for your prayers.

UPDATE

Dear Prayer Partners,

Here’s an update from Micah’s older brother…

The first surgery went well. Praise the Lord that Micah’s lungs and heart are good. His feet are injured but they do not know the extent yet. He will have another surgery on Tuesday for the amputation of his arm, they don’t know if it’s going to be from the shoulder or his elbow yet. They are going to wake him up tomorrow and tell him everything that has gone on. Please pray for his mental health as he probably has no idea what has gone on or what is to come. Please pray for my family that is down there, mom is the only one who can see him, I know that it is killing my father that he will not be there when Micah first wakes up. Our family is very appreciative of everyone for their prayers and monetary donations. It is very humbling to see all the support that my brother and family is receiving. We might not know what God has planned right now but I do know that this happened for his glory, it’s easy to praise God in the good times, it is something totally different to praise Him in times like this. But we do praise God right now bc we may not see what is going on but He already knows. He is using Micah and this situation to further His kingdom and we have to trust Him. Once again thank you for the out pouring love you shown our family. Praise be to God.

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Prayer Partners,
The following comes from one of our Prayer Partners in Texas. (By the way, the Humber’s offered to help Micah Veanes’ family in anyway possible while Micah is in the hospital in Galveston.    Isn’t that amazing how God places folks all over  the globe to help His children when in need!)…
Ron,
I am asking for prayer for my nephew    Charlie. He has been a police officer for more than 30 years and he and a fellow officer (Matt) have been indicted on charges of “using excessive force” when making an arrest. I just pray the Lord will give him peace in his mind over this situation. They go before a judge in August, but he and Matt have been placed on administrative leave until then. Thanks in advance for lifting these young men up to the Lord. I appreciate it and I know my nephew does. He is a Christian man who loves the Lord.

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Prayer Partners,
The following comes from a good friend in Lebanon, MO…
Ron,
Here is a needed prayer request. Micah Veanes, a 15 year-old boy, and his parents are members of Hillcrest Baptist in Lebanon, MO. His dad is one of our church’s deacons.
Thanks,
Bill Dudley

Micah was in a fishing accident yesterday. He was in his kayak in the middle of a pond on family property and as he was fishing his line struck large power lines above and he was severely electrocuted. The main reason he is with us today is because he was wearing a life jacket and he had no water in his lungs, praise Jesus.
He was life-flighted to Springfield Missouri with extremely bad burns to his right side of his body. At this time we know he is going to be moved to Galveston Texas. We need prayer. He will lose his right arm and he may lose toes. He needs dialysis before he can be transported because of to much potassium in his blood from the electric shock.
He needs rest, love, and he will need time to except this new life. I want to thank everyone for your prayers. Pray for safe travels as Dave & Peggy Veanes and travel to Texas today.
From Micah’s family.

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Prayer Partners,

I received the following from a Pastor friend in Lamar, MO…

Ron,

Kevin and Janice Hale have been good friends for over 30 years and are now living in Oak Grove, MO. Janice has recently been diagnosed with cancer.

They have been in music ministry for a long time, beginning Immanuel Baptist in Independence many years back. They later were called to western Kansas in Music ministry and have since returned.

Janice needs healing, but thank you as you pray for both. We all know the strain on the spouse when the other one is very sick.

In Jesus powerful and changing Name!!  AMEN!

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Prayer Partners,
Please add Marcella Dixon to your prayer list. She went in the hospital with pain in her back and they discovered two fractured vertebras and several cancerous tumors. Further tests revealed she has a very aggressive type of small cell cancer in several parts of her body. She will begin treatment as soon as all test results are in and they can determine the best course of action.
Marcella is a member at Cross Creek Baptist in Oak Grove, MO.

UPDATE

Dear Prayer Partners,
A rear admiral in the U.S. Navy, Irve Le Moyne, was undergoing therapy for cancer and told his doctor that he planned to follow a Navy tradition of ringing a bell to signify “when the job was done.” He brought a brass bell to his last treatment, rang it several times and left it as a donation. It was mounted on a wall plaque in the Main Building’s Radiation Treatment Center at MD Anderson Hospital with the inscription:
Ringing Out…
Ring this bell
Three times well
Its toll to clearly say,
My treatment’s done
This course is run
And I am on my way!

I got to see a video of my little friend, Abe ring the bell today!  Praise God for His great and awesome love!
